PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a crack from developing at a deep drawn portion. SOLUTION: In a felt formed body containing a deep drawn portion and its manufacturing method, a fleece made of a uniform mixture of base fibers, a binder consisting of an impalpably powdered novolak-type phenolic resin and its hardener and an impalpable polysaccharides powder is performed in the form of a mat and then formed under heat and pressure in the a predetermined form. As the polysaccharides, starch such as cornstarch of the like can be used. By mixing with the polysaccharides, the flexibility of a performed body is increased and its following-up properties to a mold is improved, resulting in preventing a crack from developing at a deep drawn portion. |
