The quadrature mixer has the quadrature components (I,Q) of an intermediate frequency input signal mixed with quadrature components of a local oscillator frequency for providing an output signal (A), which is converted back to the intermediate frequency of the input signal via an analogue demodulator (10), with evaluation of the offset error for each quadrature component, to provide error correction values for a regulator (15) for continuous error correction.
