PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve noise performance while keeping high drainage performance in a pneumatic tire provided with directional tread patterns. SOLUTION: In a pneumatic tire in which right and left sub grooves 3 extending to both shoulder parts while being inclined in the tire width direction from the tread center range to the tire reverse rotational direction are arranged on a tread surface 1 in which the tire rotational direction is specified in one direction along the tire circumferential direction at prescribed pitches, and directional tread patterns are formed, the groove capacities of the sub grooves 3 are made be alternatively different from each other along the tire circumferential direction, and the ratio of the different groove capacities of the sub grooves 3 are set in the range of 1:0.3 to 0.7.
