<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a multiple-core tape fiber single core separating tool that can separate single core of multiple-core tape fiber and remove covering sheath layer thereof at the desired point within a short period of time without giving any damage on each core wire. SOLUTION: This tool 1 can separate the predetermined core wires (2a to 2d) and remove the covering sheath layer (3) from a multiple-core tape fiber 1 that is formed of a plurality of parallel core wires (2a to 2d) covered with the covering sheath layer (3) in the form of a tape. In this case, there are provided a pair of shearing blades 17, 18 for shearing the core wires (2a to 2d) with a stepped portion (16) which is formed at the position corresponding to the boundary of the core wires (2a to 2d) by holding the multiple-core tape fiber 1 from the upper and lower sides, a pin 26 which is inserted between core wires (2a to 2d) after the shearing and is then moved relatively in the longitudinal direction of the core wires (2a to 2d) to tear the wire for the predetermined length and a pair of recessed surface 29 and projected surface 30 for holding the core wires (2a to 2d), after the tearing, in the curved condition that are relatively moved in the width direction 32 of the multiple-core tape fiber 1 to remove the residual covering sheath layer (3) around the core wires (2a to 2d).</p> |
