PURPOSE: A device for alarming the installation of a child seat on a front passenger's seat is provided to prevent an accident due to an air bag by alarming the installation of a child seat on a front passenger's seat in a vehicle having an air bag. CONSTITUTION: A CLR(Convertible Locking Retractor) prepared in a seat belt is automatically converted if a seat belt of a front passenger's seat is completely loosened for the installation of a child seat. A control unit senses the state via an ALR(Automatic Locking Retractor) sensor(2) and confirms the installation of a PAB(Passenger Air Bag) for a front passenger's seat by the signal inputted from an ESPS(Electronic Single Point Sensor) unit(4). If the PAB is installed, a transistor(Q1) is switched on by a bias resistor(R1) and an alarm lamp(6) on a dash board is lighted on. Therefore, a driver recognizes the installation of a child seat.
