Improvements in cooled electrical assemblies, especially for a control module for a discharge head lamp of a vehicle

The thermally conducting material is held under compression to ensure good thermal contact. The assembly comprises a metal disc (1) forming a heat sink, and a printed circuit (2) which is carried on the heat sink. The heat sink has at least two projections (3) above its upper surface, and it is these to which the printed circuit is attached. Mounting pegs (4) pass through the circuit board in order to fasten the circuit board to the heat sink. A material (6) which is thermally conducting and electrically insulating is used to fill the spaces between the card and the heat sink. The circuit board and the heat sink hold the thermally conducting material in compression, ensuring good thermal contact.
