The appliance has an insert (18) provided for the protection of the associated part (6,8,10,14,16) and arranged inside the domestic appliance during transport. The insert prevents a free movement of the associated part or parts inside the domestic appliance eg. refrigerator. The auxiliary part (14) is at least partly received by the insert. The insert lies against the closed appliance door (4). The door is protected against an unintended opening during transport. The insert is made of material which is able to be recycled or is degradable.
