An aqueous resin dispersion comprises: (A) a copolymer prepared from an ethylenic unsaturated monomer (A1) containing a perfluoroalkyl group and/or an ethylenic unsaturated monomer (A2) containing a polydimethylsiloxane group, copolymerised with another ethylenic unsaturated monomer (A3); and (B) a water-dispersible polyurethane containing a polydimethylsiloxane group (B1) and a hydrophilic group (B2). The preparation of the dispersion by dispersing (A) in water in the presence of (B) is also claimed.
