PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To project smoothly a belt from the rear surface side of a front pillar garnish. SOLUTION: This air bag 30 is equipped with an air bag body 31 and a belt 49. An air bag body front part 31f and the belt 49 are folded and stored on the rear surface side of the front pillar garnish 12, and projected to an opening W side by the expansion of the expanding part 32 of the air bag body 31. The expanding part 32 is equipped with a main expanding part 34 to cover an opening W and a sub expanding part 39 which is communicated with the front end 34 of the main expanding part 34 and arranged at near the lower part of the garnish 12 at the time of expansion. The sub expanding part 39 has such inside diameter that is smaller than that of the part 34a of the main expanding part 34 adjacent to the sub expanding part 39 and can push the garnish 12 open so that the air bag body front part 31f and belt 49 can be projected at the time of expansion.
