PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continue printing even when any of a plurality of heads of the same color becomes short of ink during printing. SOLUTION: When the absence of ink of a first printing head or second printing head is detected by an ink presence/absence-detecting means during printing in a double head monochromic printing mode (S14 and S15), the double head monochromic printing mode is automatically changed to a single head monochromic printing mode using the head having ink (S17-S19), so that the printing is continued. |
