PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stile member for a fitting having little warp by drying and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: This stile member for a door member comprises a core material 5 having at least one corner section or a curved surface section and decorative members 4 covering the outer surface of the core material 5. A plurality of reinforcing members 11 are arranged at prescribed intervals between a pair of parallel flat plates 10 to form the core materials 5, and spaces set to communicate with each other by gas vent holes 9 are provided between the reinforcing members 11 and are set to communicate with the atmosphere. Each decorative member 4 comprises a base material and a decorative sheet covering the outer surface of the base material, and the base material is folded along a notch groove provided at the portion corresponding to the corner section of the core material 5 and is stuck to the core material 5.
