PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a frozen image at the press of a PRINT button after recording action after freezing and to restore the image to a real image at the press of a COPY button. SOLUTION: The setting mode identifying means 26 and the recorded image mode setting means 25 of an image recording control and arithmetic part 21 selectively activate a first command generating means 27a, a second command generating means 27b and a third command generating means 27c, so that when a PRINT direction signal is input after freezing, the freezing is maintained; when a COPY direction signal is input, a real image is restored; or if there is no freezing, a frozen image is automatically provided at the input of either of the direction signals and then restored to the real image.
