PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly cut off the hollow chamber of a hollow structure by a necessary min. amt. of a granular foamable material. SOLUTION: In a hollow chamber cutting-off tool in a hollow structure for heating a predetermined amt. of the granular foamable material arranged in the hollow chamber of the hollow structure from the outside to foam and expand the same and cutting off the hollow chamber by the formed foam, a closed container 12 housing a predetermined amt. of the granular foamable material, a plurality of openings formed to the area excepting both end parts 12b, 18 of the container 12 and set to a dimension not permitting the granular foamable material 20 before foaming to pass and the fixing members 13, 14 for fixing the container to the hollow structure so that both end parts 12b, 18 of the container 12 are arranged almost in parallel to the imaginary surface traversing the hollow chamber are provided. Therefore, when the granular foamable material 20 is foamed and expanded by external heating, the foaming thereof is accelerated in the direction along both end parts 11b, 18 of the container 12.
