PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set the sound volume and effects specific to respective timbres with simple operation in playing. SOLUTION: This electronic musical instrument has a memory means for storing playing control information for controlling the playing of the electronic musical instrument and is constituted to control musical tone generation by reading out playing control information from this memory means. The musical instrument is provided with memory regions for storing the control information of the sound volume and effects by each of the respective timbres.
