PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic polymer crosslinked with metal and suitable for the production of a ceramic composite material having high density and free from pores exerting adverse effect on mechanical strength and heat- resistance. SOLUTION: The objective polymer is composed of an organic silicon polymer part composed of Si-CH2 bond unit and Si-Si bond unit, having hydrogen atom, alkyl group, aryl group, phenyl group or silyl group bonded to the side chain of Si, the ratio of (total number of Si-CH2 bond units)/(total number of Si-Si bond units) of 20:1 to 1:20 and the Si/C number ratio of 2:1 to 1:2 and a part having a part of Si atom of the organic silicon polymer part bonded through a metal (M) selected from Mo, Dy, Gd, Tb, Nd and Er or through the metal (M) and oxygen. The ratio of (total number of Si-CH2 bond unit and Si-Si bond unit of the organic silicon polymer part)/(total number of M-Si bond unit and M-O-Si bond unit) is (2-500):1 and the number-average molecular weight of the polymer is 500-100,000. |
