PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balance weight excellent in strength, shock resistance, weatherproofing, etc., even in the balance weight having a complicated shape. SOLUTION: A balance weight for an industrial machine is composed of resin concrete consolidating metal pieces of iron lump, iron chip, cast chip, steel chip, ores, etc., by a resin. A mold form is charged with a mixture of the metal pieces and the resin, by removing the mold form after consolidation, the balance weight can be manufactured. An aggregate consisting of sand or gravel and/or inorganic filler may be included with the metal pieces, and a protecting layer can be also provided in a surface.
