PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform the replacement of an ink ribbon roll and to exclude trouble generating waste in paper by detecting the terminal of an ink ribbon. SOLUTION: An ink ribbon cassette has a housing part 3 on a taking-up side for setting the taking-up shaft 2 attached to an ink ribbon roll R and a housing part 5 on a supply side for setting the supply shaft 4 attached to the ink ribbon roll R and is equipped with a cassette main body part 7 having a printing head penetrating space 6 between the housing parts 3, 5, a cover part 9 on a taking-up side opened and closed by the hinge part 8 provided to the housing part 3 and the cover part 11 on a supply side provided to the housing part 5 and opened and closed in the same direction as the cover part 9 by a hinge part 10.
