PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for vulcanizing a tire efficiently in a vulcanizer having stations by using electromagnetic induction heating and an apparatus for the method. SOLUTION: An apparatus for vulcanizing a tire is composed of a vulcanization station 10 for vulcanizing the tire W in a mold container by using heat energy accumulated in the container while the pressure and temperature of the container are kept at levels necessary for the vulcanization, a mold opening/ closing station 20 which discharges the vulcanized tire Wa from a mold, introduces a new green tire W into the mold, and packs a heating medium such as heated fluid for keeping the pressure of the tire W in the tire W, a heating station 40 for heating the container externally for a short time by an electromagnetic induction heater 30, and a cover attaching/detaching apparatus 50 which is connected with the heating station 40 between the vulcanization station 10 and the mold opening/closing station 20.
