PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shutter device capable of making the winding radius uniform or nearly uniform in the parallel with the axis when a shutter curtain is wound and stored on a winding shaft and capable of improving the external appearance of the stored state. SOLUTION: A shutter curtain 20 is wound and stored on a winding shaft 30 in this winding type shutter device 10. The shutter curtain 20 is provided with winding diameter adjusting members 70, 71 for adjusting the winding diameter when the shutter curtain 20 is wound and stored on the winding shaft 30 at portions other than a thick section 60 formed with an entrance sheet to cover an emergency entrance, for example. A large-diameter section may be provided on the winding shaft 30 instead of providing the winding diameter adjusting members 70, 71 on the shutter curtain 20.
