PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a recording liquid where images formed by ink-jet printing can be prevented from being discolored and faded by including a volatile base and a non-volatile acid, and an ultraviolet absorber and/or an antioxidant in the recording liquid. SOLUTION: This recording liquid is obtained by including in (A) the recording liquid (B) the volatile base and (C) the non-volatile acid, and (D) an ultraviolet absorber and/or (E) an antioxidant. Ammonia, dimethylamine, triethylamine, etc., are cited as the component B. Sulfuric acid, nitric acid, potassium hydrogen sulfate, citric acid, dimethylbarbituric acid, a dye having sulfo group, etc., etc., are cited as the component C. A benztriazole derivative, a benzophenone derivative, etc., are preferable as the component D. A phenolic compound, etc., is preferably used as the component E. The pH value of images formed by using the recording liquid is preferably 3 to 7. |
