PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for temporarily filling an excavated hole for an underground pipe having various widths and lengths, which ensures not only positive temporary filling of the excavated hole for the underground pipe without causing collapse of its inner wall surfaces, but also positive protection of the underground pipe without applying a load from above onto an edge of the pipe, and therefore it is very convenient to temporarily fill and dig out the hole, and to provide a method for temporarily filling structure. SOLUTION: An excavated hole 3 for an underground pipe is formed into an almost groove channel under the ground, and square block bodies 4a, 4b are stacked along both internal wall surfaces of the excavated hole 3 so as to have a required height. Then, fillers 5 deformably stuffed in bags are filled between the stacked block bodies 4a, 4b so as to outwardly press the same to be press-fitted to the internal wall surfaces of the excavated hole 3. Further, a partition plate 6 is mounted on the stacked block bodies 4a, 4b on both sides, and then temporary pavement is laid on the partition plate 6 via earth 7.
