PRIMER COMPOSITION AND PHOTOCATALYTIC BODY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a primer composition for coating a substrate of a material having a low surface energy and a low hydrophilicity with an aqueous photocatalytic coating composition. SOLUTION: This primer composition is obtained by compounding an emulsion containing at least one kind of resin component of an acrylic resin, an acrylic-modified silicon resin and an acryloylsilane resin with 0.1-20 wt.% of a wetting agent and has 55% haze value as a coating film and <=10 degree contact angle of water on the coating film. The primer composition is used and an aqueous photocatalytic coating composition is top coated on the primer composition into a film to give a photocatalytic body having a high fixation strength to the surface of a substrate.
