PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum type transport container capable of being assembled and disassembled, and convenient for storage when it is not used and for transportation. SOLUTION: A drum type transport container is assembled with: a bottom 10 formed by extending a circumferential wall 12 upwardly from a circumference of a disc-shaped bottom plate 11; a body sleeve 20 which is formed into a cylindrical shape so as to be capable of being fitted to the circumferential wall of the bottom 10 by joining a plurality of panel plates 21, each having a spiral- shaped engagement portion at each of both side ends thereof, together at their spiral-shaped engagement portions and by curving them and which is provided upright on the bottom 10; a reinforcing ring 30 which is formed to have a circumferential wall 32 extending downward from a circumference of a ring-shaped top plate 31 so as to be capable of being fitted onto an upper end of the body sleeve 20 and which is fitted onto the upper end of the body sleeve 20; and a lid 40 which is formed to have a circumferential wall 42 extending downward from a circumference of a disc-shaped top plate 41 so as to be capable of being fitted onto the circumferential wall 32 of the reinforcing ring 30 and which is fitted onto the reinforcing ring 30.
