PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high strength polypropylene melt-blow nonwoven and to provide a production method for a high strength melt-blown nonwoven. SOLUTION: This high strength polypropylene melt-blown nonwoven has 2-20μm mean fiber diameter, 10-60 g/m2 basis weight, 0.1-0.5 mm thickness, 10-600 cc/cm2/sec permeability and 5-20 kg/50 mm tensile strength and the production method comprises a cooling step soon after fine fiber-forming and multistage drawing.
