PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the occurrence of mechanical loss by simplifying a gear, prevent the neck-in and wrinkle of a film due to a very short distance to a film path during rewinding and greatly reduce a rewinding cycle. SOLUTION: This biaxially direct acting winder comprises an upper winding frame 3, which has a gripping portion 6 of an upper winding shaft provided on an upper frame 1 of upper and lower main frames 1, 1' in an up-and-down movable manner, suspended down to be slidable back and forth in a preset range, and a lower winding frame 3', which has a gripping portion of a lower winding shaft 4 provided on the lower frame 1' in a up-and-down movable manner, arranged upward to be slidable back and forth in a preset range, both being movable back and forth and up and down, independently and with no mutual interference, whereby one fully wound roll is transferred from a winding position to a removal position in full winding while the other winding shaft is transferred to the winding position for mounting a winding core, cutting the fully wound roll off a new winding core with a cutter and winding a running-side cut end on the new winding core.
