PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save the electric power required for a heated toilet seat by detecting the standing action of a toilet lid by means of a simple arrangement. SOLUTION: A low tank cover 2 is installed on the upper surface of the rear of the bowl of a toilet 1. A toilet seat 3 and a toilet lid 4 are rotatably installed. A window plate 12 is installed at a corner of the top front surface of the low tank cover 2, and a remote-control light receiver, a human body sensor, and a toilet lid sensor are installed therebehind. When the toilet lid sensor does not detect the toilet lid, i.e., when the toilet lid 4 covers the toilet seat 3, a power-saving mode is initiated in which a lower temperature is set for the heated toilet seat 3.
