PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a tension belt as a transmitter from an engine to threshing equipment cannot easily be dismantled and maintenance such as exchange of the belt cannot easily be performed because the tension belt is wound around the middle position of a countershaft and other belts which transmit rotation power by distributing it to various equipment are arranged on both sides of the middle position in a conventional transmission system. SOLUTION: This transmission system of a thresher has the following configuration: a countershaft 4 equipped with plural transmission belts 3 for transmitting rotation power by distributing it to a threshing drum 2, etc., of a threshing equipment 1 is installed in a rotatably supported state on the side of threshing equipment 1; a tension belt 7 is placed between the countershaft 4 and the power take off shaft 6 of an engine 5 and can transmit the rotation 1; a through a belt tension clutch 8; and the tension belt 7 is placed at a nearer position to the shaft end than other transmission belts on the countershaft 4.
