PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the new subject expression system including a cDNA fragment encoding human erythropoietin, a plasmid vector and a cytomegalovirus promoter, and useful for production or the like of a recombinant human erythropoietin. SOLUTION: This new expression vector contains a cDNA fragment encoding human erythropoietin, a plasmid and a cytomegalovirus promoter, and is usable for production or the like of a recombinant human erythropoietin useful as a medicinal cornposition or the like for promoting proliferation of hematopoietic cells. The expression vector is obtained by linking the cDNA fragment of the human erythropoietin amplified by a PCR by using a primer from a cDNA library of the human liver, to a site between the Hind III restriction site of a plasmid vector 3.1 under the control of a cytomegalovirus promoter, and XbaI restriction site. |
