PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide wave dissipating floats capable of restricting overflow by dissipating artificial waves created in a pool. SOLUTION: In a sports pool 1, a plurality of wave dissipating floats 3 are connected together by a course rope tensed near the water surface, the wave dissipating float 3 comprises a porous cylinder and a float member; a porous cylinder has many resin lines with many loops directed to right, left, front or rear in the longitudinal direction which are arranged in a ring shape, the loops of neighboring each resin line are combined together in complicated shapes thereby many irregular pass holes are formed to a cylindrical form with the porous cylinder filled up with the floating material.
