PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new compound which has the absorption maximum in the visible light region, is useful as a photosensitizer for photochemical polymerizations because of substantially absorbing the visible light, has the light-emitting maximum in the visible light region, and is useful for dye lasers and organic EL elements because of emitting visible light, when exited. SOLUTION: A compound of formula I or formula II (R1 to R4 are each an alkyl, an alkenyl or an aromatic hydrocarbon; R5 and R6 are each cyano, a halogenated alkyl or the like; R7 and R8 are each H, a halogen, an alkyl or the like; R9 to R11 are each H or an alkyl).
