PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a telomerase inhibitor capable of specifically and effectively inhibiting telomerase activity by adding a compound having spirobenzodipyran- naphthofuran structure. SOLUTION: This inhibitor contains one or more kinds of compounds having a spiro[benzo[1,2-b:5,4-c']dipyran-2(3H),2'(3'H)-naphthofuran] structure [e.g. a compound of formula I, (R1 to R6 are each H or OH, but the components of each pair of R1 and R2, R3 and R4, and R5 and R6 can not be OH at the same time; R7 is methyl or methoxycarbonyl), a compound of formula II or the like]. The administration dose of the compound is commonly in the range of 0.01-100 mg/kg a day, and it is administered once or in several divided doses.
