SOLUTION: This paper carrying mechanism is provided with a pair of side plates 4p in right and left having notch-like bearing parts 6p in side parts 5a and having a pair of spring hook parts 7pi, 7pj in a front and a rear sides of the bearing parts 6p, etc., in the carrying direction F, a carrying roller 3 having roller parts 9a, etc., in a shaft part 8, of which both ends are housed in the bearing parts 6p, etc., a guide plate 2 having opening parts 12a, etc., in which the roller parts 9a are exposed, and fitted between the side parts 5p, etc., of the pair of side plates 4p, etc., and spring 13p, etc., stretched between the pair of spring hook parts 7pi, 7pj and for energizing the shaft part 8 housed in the bearing parts 6p, etc., to the guide plate 2 side.
