PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make resonance vibration hardly occur near a tip by forming a body portion located between the cutting edge hold section and the shank section of a tool holder fitting a tool for cut machining to the main shaft of a machine tool with a member separate from the cutting edge holding section or the shank section, and providing a separate inclusion at a connection section. SOLUTION: This tool holder is provided with a cutting edge hold section 7a on the front end side 6a of the body portion 6 and a shank section 8 on the rear end side 6b of the body portion 6. Connecting lugs 6c, 6d are formed at the front and rear of the body portion 6 located between the cutting edge hold section 7a and the shank section 8 to be connected correspondingly to a recess 7b on the cutting edge hold section 7a side and a recess 8a on the shank section 8 side in the axial direction. A separate inclusion is provided so that the natural frequencies of front and rear members differ when the body portion 6 is rotated in this connected state. The inclusion is formed with a plate-like vibration control sleeve 14a extending in the radial direction and a tubular vibration control sleeve 14c extending in the axial direction.
