PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely avert the piping closure in confluent parts of piping for transferring crushed garbage crushed by a garbage crushing means on the upstream of sections where the vertical piping and horizontal piping are confluent with a piping washing means designed to prevent stagnation. SOLUTION: Pulverized garbage pulverized in disposers 1 installed in respective houses of an apartment house is supplied via horizontal branch pipes 2 of the respective houses to the vertical piping 4 where the garbage is joined and the joined garbage is discharge through the piping washing 5. The stagnation of the pulverized garbage is liable to occur in the confluent parts of the vertical piping 4 and the horizontal piping 2. Piping washing water is supplied from piping washing mechanisms 7 including timer controlled flush valves to eliminate the stagnation periodically from the upstream side of the confluent parts or when the stagnation of the pulverized garbage is detected by boundary detectors, etc. The piping washing mechanisms 7 may also be constituted to use a liquid and/or gas as a piping washing medium and to pass one thereof or alternately both thereof.
