PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washstand having means serving as both a towel hanger and a footrest. SOLUTION: This washstand 10 is provided with a movable frame element 40 having both a long support part 41 used as both a footrest and a towel hanger and a pair of parallel long arm parts 42 projecting from both sides of the long support part 41. The long arm parts 42 have their arm ends inserted from the front face 10a of the washstand 10 and can be positioned so that the long support part 41 extends in front of the front face 10a of the washstand 10. The long arm parts 42 are drawn out of the washstand 10 and the arm ends of the long arm parts 42 can be supported in front of the washstand 10 so that the long arm parts 42 drawn out are rotated downwards. Also, rotation of each long arm part 42 can be prevented at its rotated, hanging position.
