PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower the cost while simplifying the structure, and to improve the flexibility and convenience with the easy manual operation of a paper feeding tray. SOLUTION: This paper feeding elevator mechanism is provided with a rotary drive part, a primary side belt transmitting mechanism part 7 arranged in one side of a paper feeding tray 2 in the right and left direction and formed by stretching a transmitting belt 6 between a drive side pulley 4 and a driven side pulley 5, a one-way clutch connected between the rotary drive part and the drive side pulley 4 so as to transmit the rotation for raising the paper feeding tray 2, a secondary side belt transmitting mechanism part 12 arranged in the other side of the paper feeding tray 2 in the right and left direction and formed by stretching a timing belt fixed at the paper feeding tray 2 side thereof between a drive side toothed pulley 9 and a driven side toothed pulley 10, and a rotation transmission canceling mechanism part 13 for canceling the transmission of the rotation with the manual operation.
