PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a solid polyelectrolyte excellent in ionic conductivity such as the ability to exhibit high proton conductivity over a wide temperature region by including a polymer having a specific recurring unit, an inorganic acid, an organic acid, an inorganic salt or an organic salt. SOLUTION: This solid polyelectrolyte comprises (A) a polymer having a recurring unit represented by formula I (Z is CH3, SO3H, COOH or the like; Y1 is O, S or the like; W is H or SO3H; Ar is a group represented by formula II or the like) and (B) an inorganic acid, an organic acid, an inorganic salt or an organic salt (preferably phosphoric acid, phosphoric esters, sulfuric acid or sulfuric esters). A compound represented by formula III or the like is cited as the component A. The number-average molecular weight of the component A is preferably 5,000-1,000,000. The component B is used in an amount of preferably 0.1-10 mol based on 1 mol of N atom in the component A. The solid polyelectrolyte can effectively be used as an electrolyte, etc., for primary cells or primary batteries. |
