PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of fuel pre-injected with a simple structure by disposing a spring element between a pressing piece and nozzle needle in a valve opening/closing the nozzle needle by the pressing piece connecting with a control chamber through an operation part. SOLUTION: A nozzle needle 12 is movably disposed in a valve element 10 of a fuel injection valve of two port two position selecting valve type in a common-rail injection system, and the nozzle needle 12 is cooperated with a valve seat 14 so as to control the injection of fuel supplied through a supply conduit 16. The nozzle needle 12 is successively provided with an operating portion 18, and the operating portion 18 is united to a pressing piece 22 through a spring element 20. The pressing piece 22 is projected into a control pressure chamber 24 to which a supply conduit 26 opens. When a control valve 30 is opened and pressure in the control pressure chamber 24 is reduced, the spring element 20 is extended, thereby opening the nozzle needle 12 apart from the valve seat 14 to conduct fuel injection.
