PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a window regulator capable of improving durability of a tape without causing enlargement of the device in constitution using the tape. SOLUTION: This power window regulator 10 is provided with a main tape 38 for moving up a first carrier plate 22 and a sub-tape 46 for moving up a second carrier plate 44. The main tape 38 is formed with engaging holes 50 engaged with the engaging teeth 48 of a sprocket 34, and further escaping parts 52 escaping one part of an engaging load are formed on both sides of the engaging hole 50. Consequently, stress concentration on the four corners of the engaging hole 50 can be remarkably reduced, and hence durability of the main tape 38 can be improved. By such constitution, it is unnecessary to increase the width of the tape or the thickness for insuring durability as before, and enlargement of the device is not caused.
