PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obviate a long size intermediate column vertically reaching up to a lower story floor from a bottom part of a passenger conveyor by joining mutual plural beam bodies by a reinforcing body, and arranging a support for supporting a main frame. SOLUTION: Beam bodies 8 being a bone member of a stairs body 4 are continuously arranged in a plurality on the lower both sides in the total length direction of the stairs body 4. A strong reinforcing body 33 is added/joined in a total length directional required place to these beam bodies 8, and the mutual beam bodies 8 are compounded to enhance the whole strength. A support 34 and a pedestal 35 fixedly joined to a bottom part of a main frame 11 are arranged on an upper surface of this reinforcing body 33, and this support 34 is also joined to the reinforcing body 33. Thus, a long size intermediate column is obviated by supporting the main frame 11 by the reinforcing body 33 also serving as reinforcing the beam bodies 8 to thereby obviate large-scale foundation work for supporting the long size intermediate column.
