PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To move the arm rest of the upper surface of both sides of the cover of a console box to an individual driver's desired position. SOLUTION: This box is provided with a console box main body 11, an open/close type cover 12 pivoted turnably around a rotary shaft at one edge of the longitudinal direction of this main body, an arm rest 22 provided on the upper surface of both sides of the open/close type cover, a slide 30 including a slide door slidable along the opening provided on the center of the cover and for covering the front part of the arm rest and also arranged movably in the front/rear direction and an engagingly locking means 40 for engagingly locking the slide part 30 with plural prescribed positions of the front/rear direction against the arm rest.
