PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a rapid increase of operation noise due to a rapid increase in a difference of air temperature at a heat exchanger outlet part and a control target value thereof causing a rotational frequency of a motor-driven compressor to rise when, for example, modifying an inlet port mode from an inside air mode to an outside air mode during cooling. SOLUTION: In this vehicular air conditioner, a rotational frequency of a motor-driven compressor 41 is controlled based upon a control target value of a physical quantity (for example, air temperature at a heat exchanger outlet part) in regard to a heat exchanging capacity of an interior heat exchanger 45. During cooling, the control target value is modified so that an outlet side temperature of the interior heat exchanger 45 is higher during an outside air mode than during an inside air mode.
