SOLUTION: This feed additive for fish and shellfish of which the circumference is coated with a hydrophobic heat meltable lipid having promoted β-crystallization and which comprises L-ascorbic acid or its salt is obtained by dripping a heat melted hydrophobic heat meltable lipid on L-ascorbic acid or its salt while flowing the L-ascorbic acid or its salt. This feed composition for fish and shellfish contains the feed additive for fish and shellfish.
