PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power applicator free from the restriction on design either in a knapsack type or a mobile type, further excellent in handleability, and capable of easily and surely controlling the amount of application. SOLUTION: A power applicator having a shutter placed at an exit for chemical of a chemical storing tank which can be opened and closed by a closing lever. The applicator is provided with a control means for shutter opening 34 for restricting the maximum allowable opening of the shutter to a specific value, wherein the control means is interlocked with the opening and closing of the shutter, and linked to the closing lever via a cable wire 36, an interlock member 62 which moves following the operation of the closing lever, a stopper 66 which is interlocked with the interlock member and restricts its movement, and an elastic member V6 which allows the movement of the cable wire associated with the operation of the closing lever after the interlock member has interlocked with the stopper.
