PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform feedback control of a fuel injection amount classified by a cylinder by detecting oxygen concentration in exhaust gas of each cylinder based on a signal from an oxygen sensor situated in an exhaust system, in a multicylinder engine. SOLUTION: In a specified period ranging from exhaust valve opening period EVO#1, EVO#2, and EVO#3 of each cylinder to a delay angle ELAG after a delay angle SLAG, exhaust gas of each cylinder is dominant in an oxygen sensor position. Thus, only a signal in the specified crank angle period is picked up classified by a cylinder from signals always outputted by an oxygen sensor, and by using only a signal picked up classified by a cylinder, a fuel injection amount is controlled classified by a cylinder.
