<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction device for a fuel pump capable of effecting positive fuel suction into a fuel pump when the fuel tank is tilted while a vehicle is being driven in a tilted attitude even if the tilted attitude continues for a long time for stable fuel suction, and eliminating residual unavailable fuel in the fuel tank, thereby reducing fuel consumption. SOLUTION: This suction device for a fuel pump 2, formed so that fuel may be sucked by immersing the suction mouth of a fuel hose 4 connected with the fuel pump 2 into oil in a fuel tank 1, is provided with a rolling member 3 which moves the suction mouth by rolling on the bottom surface of the fuel tank 1 and a guide member 5 formed at the bottom surface of the fuel tank 1 for guiding the rolling member 3 along the bottom surface, thereby guiding the suction mouth automatically into fuel oil by means of the rolling member 3 when the fuel tank 1 is tilted.</p> |
