PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrant which hardly causes sealing failure while keeping smooth operability of an operating part. SOLUTION: This hydrant includes a sliding valve device 20 adapted to conduct discharge water quantity control not accompanied by water cut-off by moving a movable valve element 22 to a fixed valve element 21, and a water cut-off valve 30 is provide on the primary side of the sliding valve device 20. For example, the water cut-off valve 30 is driven according to the operation to the sliding valve device 20, or the water cut-off valve 30 is driven by separate operation from the operation to the sliding valve device 20. This hydrant includes a sliding valve device 20 for conducting water discharge quantity control accompanied by water cut-off, a valve element is provided on the primary side of the sliding valve device 20, thereby passing water when the secondary side of the valve element is below designated pressure and cutting off water when it exceeds the designated pressure. Thus, the hydrant is provided with a pressure regulator for regulating the water supply pressure to the sliding valve device 20.
