PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain fine particles of the subject metallosilicate having small primary particle size by efficiently introducing trivalent metal ions into the crystal lattices while shortening a crystallization time so that the outer surface area of the crystal, which is obtained by a mercury press-injecting method, is made into a specified value or larger and the average primary particle size is made into a specified value or smaller. SOLUTION: This metallosilicate has 50 cm3/g or larger outer surface area of the crystal and 0.1μm or smaller average primary particle size. The production method of such a metallosilicate comprises a process for drying a water-soluble slurry starting material composition consisting of a trivalent metal salt, a silica source, a tetra-n-butyl ammonium salt and an alkali metal source to obtain a precursor and bringing the precursor into contact with saturated steam to crystallize metalosilicate. The temperature of the saturated steam is preferably made to 70-240 deg.C. The crystallization time can be remarkably shortened when the metal salt of boron, aluminum, chromium, iron or gallium is used as the trivalent metal salt. As the tetra-n-butyl ammonium salt, its hydroxide is preferably used. This metallosilicate is suitable particularly as a catalyst or an adsorbent when the mass transfer into the crystalline particles by diffusion affects the catalyst activity.
