PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide slow and rapid pressure drop in a pressure control chamber in regard to a control valve for a fuel injection valve of a type provided with the pressure control chamber and a valve needle adjustable inside a control chamber and where the pressure control chamber has an inflow passage and an outflow passage. SOLUTION: In this control valve for a fuel injection valve, a valve seat 44 for a throttle member 40 is formed inside a control pressure chamber, the throttle member 40 is provided with a throttle hole 50, the throttle member 40 is loaded toward the valve seat 44 by a spring member 48, and a closing means is provided partially closing an inflow passage at the least when adjusting separation of the throttle member 40 from the valve seat 44.
