PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface coat for a writing board which makes writing defective when a non-dedicated marking pen is used erroneously for writing, has good dry wiping properties, and is excellent in writing and erasing properties when a dedicated marking pen is used while maintaining high abrasion resistance, durability, and transparency and a curable composition which can form such a coat. SOLUTION: A curable composition comprises a writing board surface coat of at least 90 degree contact angle with water and of 10 degree or below contact angle with ethanol, a polymer (component A), which is suitable for forming the coat, having at least quaternary ammonium salt groups, acryloyl groups, or methacryloyl groups and organopolysiloxane groups bonded to the main chain through nitrogen atoms, and a polyfunctional (meth)acrylate (component B) having at least three in total of acryloyl groups and methacryloyl groups in a molecule. When the total of the component A and the component B is 100 pts.wt., the content of the component A is 1-40 pts.wt. and the content of the component B is 40-99 pts.wt.
